Job Summary:

The Paralegal will assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, conducting research, managing case files, and coordinating communication between clients, courts, and other parties. This role is essential for ensuring that attorneys are well-supported and that legal matters are handled efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case materials, precedents, and statutes.
  • Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and legal correspondence.
  • Assist attorneys in case preparation, including trial documentation, discovery, and evidence organization.
  • Maintain and organize case files, databases, and document management systems.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and external stakeholders to collect information or schedule meetings.
  • File legal documents with courts and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with deadlines and procedures.
  • Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and legal findings for attorney review.
  • Manage billing records and track case-related expenses where required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related discipline.
  • Certification in Paralegal Studies (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 1–5 years of experience in a law firm, legal department, or litigation support environment.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, documentation, and court procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and legal case management software.
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in specific practice areas such as corporate law, real estate, or litigation.
  • Familiarity with e-filing systems and document management tools.
  • Prior work experience supporting multiple attorneys or practice groups.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
